Kristin Chenoweth: My Dog Reminds Me Of What's Important

This is why we can never stop loving Kristin Chenoweth!

During a recent interview about the animal charity she founded called Maddie’s Corner.

The charity works to help animals in a number of fab ways, including funding spays, shots and adoptions for shelter pets. You can find Maddie’s Corner in her hometowns of Tulsa, El Lay and in NYC.

She says credits her rural upbringing for her obsession for the furry and feathered. She said:

"I grew up in Oklahoma around a lot of animals, and a lot of my relatives are farmers and ranchers. I have a lot of respect for all kinds and what they can bring to our lives."

Howeves, being a city gal hasn't changed her love one bit - just her pets! The actress reveals,

"I finally became one of those New Yorkers that got a little white fluffy dog. I never thought that she’d take over my life, but she’s given me such joy and she’s made me so happy. I love show business, but this dog basically reminds me of what’s important."

AW!! We can totes relate!!

Chenoweth may be inspired by animals, but we are totally inspired by her caring spirt!

Ewan McGregor And Betty White To Judge Hallmark's Hero Dog Awards!

Thanks to Hallmark and the American Humane Association, recognition will be given to 'thousands of specially trained dogs giving comfort to people every day' on November 11.

Utilizing celebrities as judges, the AHA will host a televised contest which will award the best of the best with their very own red carpet gala in Beverly Hills.

Stars like Ewan McGregor and Betty White are set to judge as well as Whoopi Goldberg, Kristin Chenoweth, and Jillian Michaels!

So not only with this be an unbearably cute event, it will be a star-studded one too!

The celebs will judge in eight categories: law enforcement and arson dogs; service dogs; therapy dogs; military dogs; guide dogs; search and rescue dogs; hearing dogs, and emerging hero dogs for every day pets who do extraordinary things.

And what award show would be complete without honoring a very special person pet with tribute for their life achievement?

Rin Tin Tin, a WW1 rescue pup who later became an American movie star, will be given the show's legacy award. Accepting his award will be one of his grandpups.

It's sure to be a special event, so make sure you tune in to the Hallmark Channel on November 11 to catch the awards!

Kristin Chenoweth Gets Giggly With Pup

Kristin Chenoweth was spotted walking her dog and stopping for a coffee drink in Beverly Hills, Tuesday.

We are happy to see Kristin's pup Maddie looking energetic after she her health scare last week.

Perhaps K-Cheno is all smiles because she makes her triumphant return to Glee last night!
