Jared Leto Would NEVER Wear Real Fur

Jared Leto was at a Valentine's Day event and apparently someone was going around saying that the fur accessory he was wearing was… REAL FUR!!!

Gasp!

So he took to twitter to clear that up real quick.

PETA And Kim Kardashian Find Common Ground In Faux Fur Animal Hoods

Not long ago, PETA was coming down pretty hard on Kimmy K.

Because she wore real fur, PETA erected a huge billboard with baby foxes asking Kim where their mother is.

But now it seems they may have found some common ground, in the form of faux fur animal hoods.

PETA recently voted the faux fur fashion accessory as their Cruelty Free Accessory of the year.

The hoods are a hoodie with animal ears, that drapes down into a scarf, with mitteny pockets at the scarf ends.

So cool.

They're each hand made by SpiritHoods.

Kim Kardashian isn't the only celebs to be seen rocking one, Justin Bieber, Jessie J, Jared Leto and many, many more.

So you can look like an animal without having to brutally kill any!

Trees Planted In Haiti For Jared Leto's 40th Birthday

Whoa… wait.

He's turning 40??

He looks like he's in his late 20s.

Anyway, fans of Jared Leto's band, 30 Seconds To Mars, call themselves The Echelon.

For Jared's 40th, The Echelon is collaborating with Timberland, the boot company, and Trees for the Future Partnership on their Yele Vert reforestation and agricultural training project in Haiti.

Less than 2% of Haiti's natural forest is still alive today, and seeing as trees are the main source of food and fuel in Haiti, it's kind of a big deal.

Apparently, Jared Leto lived in Haiti as a kid, so it's very close to his heart.

If you donate to the charity, your Twitter handle with be added to birthday cards that will be presented to Jared, along with a big check.

Sounds like a great way to celebrate an awesome guy's birthday and really help the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere.
